Sirius XM Radio creating Comedy Central channel satellite radio

The companies said Tuesday that they hope to add the satellite radiochannel to Sirius existing lineup of eight comedy channels this spring.

So r, big-name Comedy Central hosts Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are not part of the effort.

For Comedy Central, its a continuing effort to spread its brand beyond TV. It already packages comedy concert tours and sponsors shows at comedy clubs.
